امروز در بین لینک ها مطلبی دیدم در مورد روز جهانی باد (پانزدهم ژوئن). وقتی روی وب بیشتر گشتم به نظرم رسید که این روز یک رخداد بین المللی ثبت شده نیست اما ظاهرا گروهی در اروپا پیگیر توسعه آن هستند. دو حامی اصلی این برگزاری رخدادهای این روز عبارتند از:

- موسسه ی انرژی بادی اروپا (EWEA - European Wind Energy Association)

- شورای جهانی انرژی بادی (GWEC - Global Wind Energy Council)

طبق گفته ی سایت این حرکت، در حال حاضر به صورت یک کمپین در سراسر دنیا در حال فعالیت است.  لیست فعالیت های پیش بینی شده برای سال جاری این حرکت را می توانید در قالب این فایل PDF مطالعه کنید. چند قلم اطلاعاتی دیگر:

Wind energy supporters gather today at events in all corners of the globe to raise awareness for the benefits of wind energy. Global Wind Day takes place for the second time this year and for the fourth time in Europe.

From school children in Brazil to energy professionals in Canada, from wind musicians in India to hobby photographers in Argentina and Sweden, wind enthusiasts of all kinds are getting involved today and over the next week to show their support for wind energy and witness the technology work in practice,

"Global Wind Day is a fantastic opportunity to remind people all around the world that we can achieve a genuine energy revolution. The technology is there to fundamentally transform the way we produce electricity, while saving billions of tons of carbon dioxide and creating much needed jobs in the future," said Klaus Rave, GWEC's Chairman.

Tens of thousands of people are expected to join the Global Wind Day events, which will take place from 12 to 20 June. Given the variety of activities planned - from wind farm open days and conferences, to exhibitions, information days, sporting contests and photo contests, there will be something for everyone in most corners of the globe. Overall, the organisers are hoping to reach around one million people with their message.
