It is exactly 19 months since I have arrived to Australia and almost 19 months since I started my PhD at Monash University. My first 1.5 year passed with writing a couple of papers, attending a few conferences, seminars and workshops and at the same time attempting to find out what I am going to do, what I know, what I don’t know, what I should learn, what I can skip learning and so on.
We moved to a new house recently which has a nice balcony. I was thinking about sometimes sitting there and writing something about my life but Melbourne is really cool these days and I cannot bear the coldness outside. So, I am going to sit in, look at outside from the big window and the end of our lounge and write for my possible audience.
The story doesn’t look very interesting so far, does it? Anyway, like many other stories, it seems to be very usual, pretty ordinary and even boring. But I promise to make it more exciting even by throwing myself out of the window and then writing for you about my broken bones.
I hope I can use this opportunity to write about myself and at the same time, think about myself, which is one of the missing parts of my current lifestyle.
