Costing non-linearities, surprises, and irreversible events: this was a heavy PDF file or better to say paper which I read about it in the book that I introduced yesterday. Today I downloaded the file and took a look at some of its sections. This is the paper which suggests we should only consider monetary impacts of climate change should care about the other aspects as well. The authors start with talking about climate change uncertainties and continue with uncertainties in impacts projections. Then they introduce surprises as unanticipated outcomes or more officially defined rapid and non-linear responses of the climate system.
Reading the first chapter of yesterday book, I came up with another new idea: Defining a “Polluter – Victim” game. It can be defined on any framework but a good game theoretic template may be able to suggest some new aspects of their interaction here.
